Our database of 340+ transfer, accelerated BSN, and direct entry MSN programs is searchable by total estimated program cost, type and state. The database is updated quarterly and includes:
links to nursing program websites
estimated total program costs including fees
duration of program
selectivity and minimum program requirements (if applicable) for admission (GPA, standardized testing)
location (city and state)
program start date(s)
NursingCAS requirements (about half of the programs do not use the NursingCAS)
notes on cohort sizes, special programs
There is no universal standard for affordability but programs in the database have been categorized as low, moderate and high according to the following total program costs:
Low - Up to $39,999
Medium - $40,000 - $79,999
High - $80,000+.
Please note: there are few upper division transfer options, the majority of programs are ABSN or DEMSN.
Access to the list requires a Google account. Please consider joining our Facebook Group Pivot to Nursing. The most recent update was made in February 2026.
This database does NOT include information about direct admit BSN programs which admit students directly from high school. If in search of direct admit BSN programs/seats, or considering transferring as a sophomore, please visit our affiliated site, Direct Admit BSN.
"The one thing that really helped me find a second-degree ABSN program was the database. Affordability is the most important metric in my search and being able to sort programs by cost saved me time and money.
- Wendy M.
"Having admissions criteria, direct links, costs and program duration all in one place saved me from visiting dozens of individual program websites—I could compare everything in minutes instead of spending weeks hunting down information."
- Chris K.
